Ongoing education for our clinical care team is delivered by a full-time Senior Nurse Educator and external educators. Aequra fully supports Registered Nurses in their further professional development and has a robust collection of courses – both mandatory and elective through our Ausmed platform.
We place strong significant emphasis on staff autonomy. Our senior team members have full responsibility for managing their own departments, and supported by the experiencedResidential Managers, and senior subject matter experts in our Head Office. Aequra only employs staff according to assessed resident needs. Carers must have a minimum Certificate III and hold a Certificate IV level of competency.

Aequra offers flexible volunteering roles across our residential and support at home divisions. We provide volunteering programs where students can get hands on experience in the aged care sector and build real world skills. Volunteering can be a rewarding way to become part of a local community.
